This is a package of the finest series of Nigerian dramas, mostly of the comedy genre, produced monthly live on stage. The Arena

With the collaboration of our principal partner, the owners of “The Arena”- Celebrity Events Ltd, the cooperation of other well-meaning partners VTB Business Support Services, Arts Affairs Ltd, and other family entertainment oriented individuals and organizations, Spur on Stage Ltd seeks to awaken the passion for practice and patronage of Live Theatre in Port Harcourt.

Theatre @ The Arena holds in high regard the need for an entertainment resort which is good for the family, an exclusive platform that thoroughly entertains the mind in the company of great minds and in a safe environment. In the face of the many existent entertainment forms fashioned for all-comers, Theatre @ The Arena will be a preference for the elite, enlightened and students folks; both young and old.
Spur
In the midst of our well-varied commitments, while we are still at the hustle and bustle demands of a cosmopolitan city such as port Harcourt, Theatre @ the Arena, offers a platform for families, guest and partners to keep a date with us (1st Sunday of every month) to laugh, be amused and unwind with friends and guests. A Nigerian’s foremost playwright, Femi Osofisan, aptly captured this necessity when he declared that “we must never lose the habit of laughing” because “we must laugh, in order to be, and remain, human, and we must remain human, in order to laugh”.

The opening night for Theatre @ The Arena is Sunday, 6th April, 2014 and by 6pm prompt. There, the audience will be treated to the performance of Captain Elechi Amadi’s Pepper-soup published 1977, alongside other theatrics. It promises to be an astounding night of theatre experience
